Darren Rolfe

Darren studied Landscape Management at Sussex University which left him with a passion to see our ecology and landscape better cared for.

In his full time role at West Sussex County Council he undertakes projects across the county from hedge-laying to building village halls.

When he is not guiding safaris at Knepp, Darren lectures in Countryside Management and Estate Skills at Plumpton Agricultural College and tends his bees in the heart of Knepp Wildland.

"I have lived on the edge of the estate for over 20 years and remember the landscape prior to the project. Each season just keeps getting better. Knepp is a 3,500 acre classroom which I am very lucky to be able to enjoy and share with others who are equally as passionate about the project. I am very proud to be part of it."
