Set in the UK’s pioneering rewilding project, Knepp Wilding Kitchen is a hub of community, nature and food. Our restaurant menu is shaped by the land – seasonal, sustainable, and inspired by Knepp’s rewilding ethos. We celebrate the best of seasonal British ingredients, from Wild Range meat grown on Knepp, organic produce from our on-site regenerative Market Garden and sustainable fish caught by day-boat on the Sussex coast.

Summer at the Wilding Kitchen
Summer at Knepp Wilding Kitchen marks a shift towards lighter, brighter flavours, guided by the arrival of our new head chef, Alex Dome. His approach is rooted in simplicity – letting high-quality, seasonal ingredients speak for themselves. Working closely with our on-sight regenerative Market Garden and the land around us, the menu changes with what’s growing now, always staying connected to place and season. It’s thoughtful, unfussy food that feels right for the time of year.

Visiting for Tea, Coffee & Cake
If you’re enjoying a walk on the Knepp Estate and would like to stop by for tea and cake, we’d love to welcome you.
Between 12pm and 3pm, our peak lunch service, indoor tables are prioritised for those dining with us, so we may not always have space available for tea, coffee, or cake.
We’ll do our very best to accommodate you if we can. Outside of peak lunch hours, please just pop by.
On fine days, our coffee trailer will be open with plenty of seating available in the courtyard.
